What is snooker and how is it different from pool?

Snooker is a UK-based cue sport played on a 12′ table with rounded pockets, using 15 red balls and 6 colors. A color must be pocketed after each red. The reds are worth 1 point each, and the colors are worth between 2 and 7 points each. For more information, see the Wikipedia snooker page.
