What is the best technique to use with a mechanical bridge?

See Section 2.03 in The Illustrated Principles of Pool and Billiards and the videos below. It is best to hold the cue deep in the “V” between the thumb and index finger, with the index and middle finger held loosely on top of the cue and the others beneath. The chin should be close to the butt, looking down the cue with enough room to stroke. The butt of cue should be close to but extending out of the hand a bit. The top fingers should pivot and point straight along the cue after the hit.
