What size and weight balls are used in different cue sports?

Here are the standard ball sizes in common games:

  • Russian pyramid and kaisa: 2 11/16 in (68 mm)
  • Carom: 2 7/16 in (61.5 mm)
  • International pool: 2 1/4 in (57.15 mm)
  • Snooker and English billiards: 2 1/16 in (52.5 mm)
  • British-style pool: 2 in (50.8 mm)

For more information, see the Wikipedia Billiard Balls page.

For games where the CB has a different size from the OB, one must be aware of ball size and weight effects.
